About the Opportunity

Highly regarded litigation law firm is seeking a senior-level Litigation Legal Assistant to join its Denver office. The firm is nationally recognized for handling sophisticated and high-stakes litigation matters and offers a collaborative, team-oriented environment where legal support professionals play a critical role in client service and case management.

This position is ideal for a seasoned litigation legal assistant who thrives in a fast-paced defense litigation practice and has extensive experience managing complex calendars/deadlines, court filings, and attorney support responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support to attorneys handling complex civil litigation defense matters
  • Maintain and manage attorney calendars, litigation deadlines, court appearances, and case schedules
  • Prepare, proofread, revise, and finalize legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and court filings
  • Electronically file documents in state and federal courts and ensure compliance with applicable court rules and deadlines
  • Coordinate docketing activities and monitor critical case deadlines
  • Assist with trial preparation, hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitration matters
  • Manage document organization and electronic files within the firm's document management system
  • Prepare and process attorney time entries, expense reports, and related administrative tasks
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings, and client communications
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and firm staff to ensure efficient case management and exceptional client service

Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of civil litigation legal assistant experience, preferably within a medium to large law firm environment
  • Extensive experience supporting defense litigation practices
  • Advanced docketing and calendaring experience with exceptional attention to detail
  • Significant experience e-filing in both state and federal courts
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple attorneys, deadlines, and competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Word and Outlook skills

Preferred

  • Experience supporting attorneys in complex commercial, professional liability, class action, or other sophisticated litigation matters
  • Familiarity with legal technology and document management systems in a large law firm setting
  • Experience with the following platforms is a plus: Aderant, Expert Time, iManage, Chrome River
